Introduction to Automatic Differentiation: Techniques and Applications
讲座内容与目的:
Automatic Differentiation(AD)技术源于计算机信息处理领域,近年来逐步被引入到控制科学与工程领域,处理非线性系统的辨识与控制、预测控制等问题,并取得了很大的进展。Yi Cao博士是国际上较早进入该领域的研究人员之一,在国际自控联合会年会、International Journal of Process Control等会议和杂志上发表论文多篇,并已经成功地将该技术应用于涡轮机结构优化、段塞流控制、生物系统控制等方面。计划利用十次左右的学术讲座,将AD技术的基本原理及其在控制领域的研究进展介绍给国内的同行。

Yi Cao is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Process and Systems Engineering. He obtained his MEng in Control Engineering from Zhejiang University in P. R. China in 1985 and his PhD in Engineering from the University of Exeter in 1996. His research interests are in process modelling, optimisation and control, in particular, control structure selection and process controllability analysis, and nonlinear model predictive control. He has published one monograph in Optimal Control Theory and Applications and over 70 refereed journal and conference research papers. One of these papers has been awarded as the best industrial application paper at the conference Control’96 by the journal of Control Engineering Practice in 1996.
